Encon provided Whitney, Bradley, and Brown with engineering services for a 150,000-square-foot design of new office space. The scope of work included a 20,000-square-foot conference/training facility with integrated audio-visual, lighting, and telecom systems and a 5,000-square-foot server room.

Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

Arlington, Virginia

Encon has provided engineering design services for over 250,000 square feet of renovated interior space within the Navy Annex Building.

Corporation for National and Community Service

Washington, D.C.

Encon has provided the engineering design for a 100,000-square-foot tenant renovation of an existing downtown building. The renovation included a conference center and server rooms.

Encon provided engineering services, including server room design, for multiple projects ranging from 6,000 square feet to 18,000 feet.

Fred, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson

Washington, D.C.

Provided complete engineering services for renovation of newly acquired tenant space, which added 10,000 square feet to already existing 25,000 square feet of space. The renovation included the creation of a new, very ornate stairway between floors and required a sophisticated smoke barrier system consisting of mechanical smoke evacuation.

Hunton and Williams

Washington, D.C.

Complete MEP services were provided for newly designed 10,000 square feet of office space. The existing HVAC system had to be extensively reworked to provide individual controls in each of the offices. The renovation also included a central training facility for the firm’s new lawyers and interns and entailed incorporating an extensive power/audio-visual/lighting system into the firm’s existing software and communications systems.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliff

Washington, D.C.

Engineering services were provided for complete demolition and renovation of 30,000 square feet of office space. The renovation included a central server room with UPS support and a large conference room with such state-of-the-art features as teleconferencing, an integrated audio/visual/lighting control system, and a 24-hour, HVAC system.

Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman, LLP

Washington, D.C.

Provided complete MEP engineering services for newly designed, 20,000-square-foot office space. An extensive climate control design was required, as well as a 24-hour HVAC and humidification system. In addition, new power risers had to be provided to accommodate power density requirements that were nearly twice what was normally required.

Maryland Athletic Club (MAC)

Baltimore, Maryland

Encon has provided engineering design services for MAC’s 45,000-square-foot retrofit of a large, mixed -use complex. The newly renovated facility now features two lap pools and associated areas.
